Slack notifications are configured team-wide under Workspace settings. Once a workspace admin connects Slack and selects a channel, Openlayer sends workspace and project updates to that channel so everyone stays informed without each member configuring their own preferences.

Open workspace notification settings

Click your workspace name in the upper-left corner and select Settings. In the sidebar, under Workspace settings, click Notifications.

Under Slack channel notifications, click Connect Slack. You’ll be redirected to Slack to authorize Openlayer and select the channel where notifications should be sent.

Manage notification preferences

Once Slack is connected, you can choose which events are sent and how they’re grouped by channel:
  • General — sends notifications for all projects in your workspace to a single selected channel.
  • Per project — sends each project’s notifications to a channel you choose for that project.
In both cases, you can select which events trigger notifications, such as test status updates, new projects, and new members joining.
